“ Very good ambience, price and service. Highly recommend! ”
“ It's a good restaurant, with good home-cooked food and a good wine list. ”
“ Delicious, good value traditional French food with touches of imagination. Highlight was an egg poached in leek cream with Savoie cheese which cooked on the table above a candle and had the perfect balance of velvety unctuousness and salty sharpness. ”
“ lunchtime on the terrace - absolutely fantastic - great food, super service and terrific value - thank you Chez Francois - a new favourite! ”
“ We visited Abbeville on a Tuesday evening in July. We were surprised to find very few restaurants available, at 7pm, and most listed on Google as restaurants were fast food cafes. Thankfully after much walking we found this restaurant and it was excellent. The chef really knows how to cook. The young waitress spoke good English and was friendly. Nice wine and a well priced, varied menu. Dog and child friendly. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you find yourself in Abbeville. ”
“ We did not have a reservation but we were shown to a table for dinner. We chose the €30 4 course menu. Had a Paix Dieu beer and wine. The menu had large portions, such as a large layered cooked fish starter and a Salade Perigordine. A little alcoholic sorbet before a huge rump steak and pepper sauce served with chips. Tender and delicious with the sauce made from a proper demi-glace and smooth cream. Everything was piping hot. We finished with a strawberry Eaton Mess style dessert. The quality of food was exceptional and the service very friendly. Please do try and speak French even though the waitress can speak English? We had a superb evening and start to our holiday. Merci beaucoup François. ”
“ Delightful little restaurant, good locally sourced food, charming service and good value. We tried to get in on a Monday at 12:00 for lunch without booking but it was already fully booked. We booked for the following day and were delighted with the excellent steak and frites from the fixed price menu. The homemade profiteroles with ice cream and chocolate source were also wickedly indulgently delicious. Worth a visit if you are in the area but do book. The place is clearly popular with locals. ”
